Disneyland Paris Tips for Dining

Buy your tickets in advance

Firstly if you are traveling to Disneyland Paris and have not yet got your tickets and reservations go get them NOW!

Disneyland Paris requires dated reservations and if you are staying off-site at Disneyland Paris your tickets aren’t including in your reservation. Therefore to ensure you can enter the park on your dates of travel it is important to buy your tickets in advance. You can check prices and availability here.

Important Dates

So now you have your tickets there are a couple of key dates that you need to know especially if you want to book some table service or character dining experiences at Disneyland Paris.

Depending on where you are staying and which Disneyland Paris restaurant you want to dine in, the reservations open either:

  • 12 months in advance for on-site dates
  • 60 days in advance for off site guests.

Many of the table service and fine dining restaurants book up quickly so as soon as your reservation opens be sure to be ready to make your reservations.

Reservations can be made either via phone or via the Disneyland Paris app. We usually use the app as we find it the easiest and quickest way to get your reservations.

However if you are late making your reservation or struggle to get the time or restaurant you want we recommend to seep checking even up to your desired date.

It is even worth at some restaurants such as Auberge de Cendrillon checking once you are in the park as you never know when a cancellation will happen and I have found the staff at all the restaurants very helpful.

Download the App

The Disneyland Paris is an essential app to have on your phone both for in the park and before you go. In fact it is one of our top Disneyland Paris tips to have this app on your phone and knowing how to use it.

Before you go you can use the apps to make dining reservations but also can be used to do mobile ordering at the quick service restaurants. Mobile ordering can save you lots of time at quick service restaurants as it means you don’t have to queue.

Disneyland Park Vs Walt Disney Studios Park

There are two parks at Disneyland Paris, so unless you have tickets to do 2 parks in 1 day, be sure to book the right restaurant on the correct day as if you only have 1 park tickets you won’t be able to park hop even for restaurant reservations.

How Much are Meals at Disneyland Paris?

The prices of meals at Disneyland Paris vary based on whether or not you have a meal plan or not, and whether you are eating at table service or quick service restaurants.

Quick service restaurants are the cheapest way to eat at Disneyland Paris and meals usually cost around 15 Euros for a deal for adults and 9 Euros for children.

While at the table service restaurants you can spend anywhere between 40-5o euros at the lower end or c.90 Euros at the Princess dining lunch at dinner at Auberge de Cendrillon.

Disneyland Paris Food Guide

So now you know the important things you need to do before traveling to the park we will turn our attention to the best Disneyland Paris food for every meal, where to eat, what to get and more.

Breakfast at Disneyland Paris

No matter which Disney park I am in around the world whether it is Disneyland California, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneysea or even Hong Kong Disney, I find breakfast one of the hardest meals I’m the parks.

That is because the queues in the mornings at all the park tend to be shorter in the morning and the afternoon, and if you are staying at an on-site Disneyland Paris hotel you will definitely want to make use of your Early Magic Hours.

For this reason we try and have a grab and go breakfast rather than a sit down breakfast at the hotel or the restaurants.

However if you do want a bigger breakfast we recommend:

Character Breakfast at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris Auberge de Cendrillon – best Disneyland Paris restaurant

There are two character breakfasts at Disneyland Paris:

  • Auberge de Cendrillon for the princesses and
  • Plaza Gardens

Both of these are in the Disneyland Park.

We personally think the princess dining is a better option as the characters are more recognisable particularly at breakfast. At plaza Gardens you often get the One Hundred Acre Woods characters over classic Disney characters

The best times to book character breakfast at Disneyland Paris for me depends on whether you are staying on or off site.

If you are staying off site then we recommend booking breakfast at 8:15am. This is the first breakfast sitting and therefore although you don’t have early magic hours they will allow you entrance into the park at 8am to go to the restaurant and also gives you the opportunity to get some photos on Main Street without the crowds.

However if you are staying on site then I recommend booking the last possible sitting as this way you won’t miss out on any of your Early Magic Hours.

Pastries and Beignets

It always surprises me that in both the Disneyland Paris Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park that there isn’t any other early opening breakfast spots.

If you do want to grab something for breakfast in the park itself we recommend heading to

  • The Cable Car Cafe on Main Street in Disneyland Park for beignets and pastries usually from around 10am or
  • the Hep Cat Cafe in the Walt Disney Studios Park.

Best Lunch Food at Disneyland Paris

Agrabah Cafe – best Disneyland Paris Food

Lunch at Disneyland Paris will depend on whether you want a quick service meal or a table service meal.

Quick service lunch foods at Disneyland Paris usually have a fixed price menu which costs around 15 Euros for an adult meal and 9 Euros for a children’s meal depending on the restaurant you are at.

There are plenty of places where you can get traditional fast foods such as burgers, chicken tenders and hot dogs at places such as Hyperion Cafe (burgers) and Casey’s Corner (hotdogs).

However there are a few more quirky places with more unusual foods that are on our must try list including the below at the Disneyland Park

  • Middle Eastern Food at Agrabah Café
  • Bratwurst and schnitzel at Au Chalet de la Marionnette
  • Mickey Pizza at Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost

and at Walt Disney Studios Park we like the buffet at Pym’s Kitchen in the Avengers Campus.

Best Places for Dinner at Disneyland Paris

Personally I like saving table service meals for dinner at Disneyland Paris and they are a great way to recharge ready for the evening shows at Disneyland Paris.

The main table service restaurants are:

Disneyland Paris best restaurants

  • Auberge de CEndrillon – Princess Dining at Disneyland Park
  • Plaza Gardens – Character Dining at Disneyland Park
  • Captain Jack’s at Disneyland Park
  • Walt’s at Disneyland Park
  • Chez Remy’s atDisneyland Park

At Disneyland Park we love Princess dining, but this is one of the more expensive places to eat in the park. However we loved the experience. We got to meet princesses, 3 of them, without having to queue for several hours at the Princess pavilion and had some of the best food I have ever eaten in a theme park. You can read a full review of our Auberge de Cendrillon here.

Meeting Princesses at Disneyland Paris Auberge De Cendrillon

However if princesses aren’t your thing then the other character dining is Plaza Gardens. We prefer this for dinner over breakfast as you get to see classic characters as opposed to Winnie the Pooh characters and classic movie ones like Smee and Gepetto.

However if you don’t want character dining but want a table service restaurants your best choices are Captain Jacks or Walts.

Disneyland Paris best restaurants

Captain Jacks is a great themed restaurant that overlooks the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. This is great for those with slightly more exotic palettes as it has a lot of Caribbean influences with plantain curries, Caribbean fish and chicken dishes.

Walt’s is a very popular restaurant and offers some amazing comfort foods that kids and adults will love.

At the Walt Disney Studios Park the only place for a sit down meal in my opinion is Chez Remy. We love the theming of this Ratatouille restaurant and love the ride views. Must try foods here include:

  • the steak
  • tiramisu

Best Snacks at Disneyland Paris

Snacks are a must for any Disney park and Paris is no exception. As with all the parks, Disneyland Paris has both seasonal and anniversary related snacks. As these are temporary the special snacks won’t be included in this guide but are worth looking at for.

However generally speaking some of the best snacks at Disneyland Paris are:

Popcorn

Popcorn are a great staple at any Disneyland park and Paris is no exception. We think popcorn buckets are one of the best Disneyland Paris souvenirs you can purchase in the park.

There is both sweet and salty popcorn available in the park so be specific when you order otherwise you may be disappointed with your purchase.

Mickey Beignets

We love the Mickey Beignets at the Cable Car Cafe at the Disneyland Park. They are not like the beignets you get at American parks, I would say they are more akin to a filled donut instead of a traditional New Orleans beignet. However they are still delicious.

Traditionally you can buy these at the Cable Car Cafe and are usually filled with Nutella or apricot compote. I personally love the apricot one.

Nutella Crepe From The Crepes Cart

Crepes are a French staple, as is Nutella. So indulge in both with the amazing Nutella crepe from the Crepes Cart.

Dietary Requirements and Food at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris VEgan options . Best Disneyland Paris restaurants

If you are traveling to Disneyland Paris and worried about dietary requirements then let me put your mind at ease. Disneyland Paris historically has not been the best with these but I think they have made massive improvements in recent years.

In fact if you are a Vegan at Disneyland Paris the good news is that there is now one vegan option at every restaurant whether you are at a table service or quick service restaurant. There are also some vegan snacks such as vegan magnums however there is still some ways to go in this area.

Also Disneyland Paris also provides kosher and halal meals but they need to be ordered 48 hours in advance so be sure to ring in advance to arrange these meals.

If you have any dietary restrictions due to food allergies, the advice is to speak with your server on arrival and they will be able to talk through the meal ingredients and food preparation routines.

For more information check out the allergen free meals here.

I love trying anything that is Mickey shaped when dining at Disney. One of the most popular Mickey shaped food is Mickey pizza.

If you want to get a Mickey Pizza at Disneyland Paris then you should head to Bella Notte in Fantasyland or Colonel Hathi’s Pizza outpost.

Both have equally good pizzas but we tend to go to Colonel Hathi’s as this tends to be quieter and have smaller queues.

No matter which place you decide to get your pizza at we recommend using mobile ordering.

Where to get Mickey Beignets at Disneyland Paris

Beignets are my favorite thing to eat in Disneyland California. And you can get Mickey Beignets at Disneyland Paris. However they are more like filled donuts instead of traditional beignets. They are different but are equally yummy.
