From the Florida Keys to Amelia Island and Orlando to St. Pete Beach, when it comes to all-inclusive vacations, the Sunshine State delivers everything under the sun.

While Florida may not have as many traditional all-inclusive resorts as international destinations like Mexico, there are packages, deals and experience resort credits that turn many of these luxury properties into staycation steals.

As a Florida native, I've personally done the legwork to deliver the best all-inclusive Florida resort options, including family-friendly beach retreats, award-winning spa getaways and food-and-booze-centric adults-only escapes — and now I need a vacation from all these vacations. (Wink, wink.)

An all-inclusive paradise just 75 minutes from Miami International Airport (MIA), Bungalows Key Largo is the ultimate turnkey beachside getaway. Upon arrival, check-in and collect your wristband, hand your car keys to the valet and sip on a coconut rum-laced welcome co*cktail before your golf cart tour and drop-off at your private bungalow.

Your home-away-from-home is a garden view or beachside cottage (aka bungalow) complete with a porch and two Adirondack chairs, a cozy bedroom with either one king or two queen beds and a modern bathroom. The star of the bungalow, however, is the private fenced-in patio with a couch, a table and chairs, a soaking tub and an outdoor rain shower — both are divine under starry skies.

Outside your bungalow, relaxation areas abound. There's a quiet zen pool with a fitness tiki hut stationed away from the beach or an array of beachside options, ranging from a quieter nook of lounges and hammocks to the livelier beach club and pool where island tunes complement the endless bay breeze. Additionally, kayaks, paddleboards and water trikes invite you to adventure on the open water.

Bungalows is a traditional all-inclusive, which means standard food and beverage offerings are baked into your rate. Enjoy the breakfast buffet spread, along with island-meets-Italian eats for lunch and dinner at Fish Tales, and grab bar bites, wraps, pizzas and frozen spiked bevvies at Sunset Tiki Hut — or request service directly to your lounge. At sundown, bookmark craft co*cktails with lamb chop lollipops (not kidding) at Hemingway Bar and an upscale Mexican dinner with toes in the sand at Sea Señor.

Set along 1,350 acres of beachy beauty to the east and green marshlands along Intracoastal waters to the west, families will never tire of the views — every room is oceanfront! — especially when there's so much to do outside at Omni Amelia Island. On property, there's a full-service spa, salon and boutique, indoor and outdoor pools (the fitness center features an indoor lap pool), a kids recreation center and a gaming lounge.

But there's much more to this resort than relaxing in the sun. Outdoor aficionados can hike, bike, explore nature trails, go fishing, paddle out, play tennis (there's a whopping 23 courts) or take on 36 holes of championship golf. And, if that's not enough, there's a kids playground on Aury Island, guided segway tours and a shopping village all nearby.

An impressive 11 food and beverage outlets round out the experience, from prime steaks and seafood at Bob's Steak & Chop House to coastal Mediterranean eats at Verandah to tacos and cervezas at Paloma & Pico. There's also a pizza parlor called Natural Slice and fro-yo to cool off on those warm nights at Mellow Yellow.

To start, you'll have to choose which of the five (yes, five!) distinct hotels within The Boca Raton is most suited to your needs. The newly renovated Tower now has 224 reimagined rooms with sweeping views of the ocean and coastline. The Yacht Club, on the other hand, offers Intracoastal views with personal butler service, a curated concierge and a private dining club.

The Cloister is the original hotel at the heart of the action, the Bungalows are two-bedroom residential hideaways and the Beach Club is essentially off-site (a ferry or shuttle takes you to and from the main resort) with 212 luxury oceanfront rooms.

Once you're unpacked, there's plenty to do, starting with the Harborside Pool Club, which offers three pools (including one adult pool), cabana rentals, a kids club and a lazy river. The Beach Club, on the other hand, has its own pool service, in addition to the expansive beachfront. Spa Palmera also offers its own private spa pool for adults in need of some peace.

For active vacationers, there's watersport fun, as well as golf, tennis or pickleball. You can also charter a boat as a family. If you like shopping, there are various upscale shops throughout. For fitness enthusiasts, there are ways to get your movement in both harborside and beachside.

There's more than a dozen dining concepts at The Boca Raton, so you'll always have somewhere new to explore. Major Food Group is at the helm of several, including Sadelle's for bagels and omelettes, The Flamingo Grill for dry-aged steaks and Principessa for handmade pastas. For couples interested in a night out, MB Supper Club delivers on the 1930s supper club vibe with live entertainment and classic dishes ranging from Waldorf salad to beef Wellington and a sweet ending of baked Alaska, perhaps with a pour of port.

Just 6 miles from the Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), take the palm tree-lined road toward this opulent 127-year-old historical resort destination that sits on Royal Poinciana Way directly on the Atlantic Ocean.

A sense of grandeur prevails in the preservation of the timeless Italian villa-meets-Mediterranean-influenced architecture, from the Florentine Fountain to the majestic lobby to the charming Juliet balconies bordering each guest room. The resort, which has survived two fires, still maintains its storied past, while fusing modern elegance throughout the grounds.

There's no shortage of upscale amenities, including 13 shops, two 18-hole golf courses, 10 tennis courts, a state-of-the-art oceanfront fitness center and a serene spa. Whether you are lounging by one of the four pools (including an adults-only option) or down at the private beach — where you can dabble in myriad watersports offerings — the 24-hour soundtrack of crashing waves induces perpetual calm.

With 10 dining concepts, there are limitless options to savor. Enjoy the bountiful breakfast buffet inside The Circle, a spectacular dining room with a 30-foot, hand-painted ceiling and arched windows with glimpses of the sea. Enjoy a light lunch on the porch of Ocean House or relish lobster rolls and fish tacos at The Beach Club. Simply put, this Hilton has it all. Get a taste of the inclusive magic year-round by taking the convenient Skybridge to Disney Springs. Or, board the continuous shuttle service to and from all four Disney parks throughout your stay — there's also early entry included for a full half-hour before the parks officially open their doors.

On those much-needed off-days, explore the expansive float lagoon pool with private poolside cabanas, a kids splash pad and the popular lazy river. There's also a gaming arcade for the kids, as well as a fitness center for the adults to work off some of those turkey legs and Mickey Mouse ice cream pops.

Take in views of Lake Buena Vista from LetterPress, which serves American comfort food with a Southern twist, enjoy poolside co*cktails and snacks at Sunnies or Shades — which also welcomes the family to fire pits after sunset — and take it easy at Blue, the resident sports bar with games and pub grub. There's also grab-and-go at Citrus 28 and in-room delivery of pizza, sandwiches, burgers and beer until 11 p.m.

When you want the luxe feel of Miami Beach with less of the action, head up Collins Avenue to this pristine hideaway known for its Mediterranean magnificence and splendid service.

From sound healing massages to customized body wraps and HydraFacials with collagen masks to Cryo T-Shock body contouring, you can take your wellness regimen to progressive heights. Not to mention the Finnish sauna, Himalayan salt wall, crystal steam room, ice fountain and experience shower. What's more fun than a trip to Universal? A resort with a waterpark, of course. Entry into Surfari Water Park includes access to surf simulators, waterslides and a lazy river. With 99 holes of golf at your disposal on a half-dozen different golf courses, this oasis is South Florida's top golf destination. The resort isn't just home to the PGA Tour's Honda Classic, though. You can also take some swings on one of 19 tennis courts at the Sports & Racquet Club.

When it's time to take a load off, the 40,000-square-foot spa has you covered with various body treatments, massages, facials and salon services, in addition to acupuncture and access to the Himalayan salt cave.

Then, it's out to the adults-only pool, complete with a restorative collection of Waters of the World mineral pools. Of course, you can also join the more upbeat resort pool, which sits off the main lobby, or kick back in your dog-friendly guestroom (ground-floor rooms have open-air patios), cottage, suite or vacation home.

For casual eats, grab a burger, beer or a milkshake at Birdie's Diner. Best credit cards for booking all-inclusive resorts in Florida

There are over a dozen excellent travel rewards credit cards out there for hotel stays. The right one(s) for you will depend on if you're loyal to a particular program or chain, whether you want premium perks, and if you value benefits like annual free nights, automatic elite status and lucrative earning rates.

Here are three great credit cards to use for booking stays across a variety of hotel chains and independent properties while still enjoying money-saving features and high-end benefits, though.

The Platinum Card® from American Express

Earning rates: This card earns 5 points per dollar on airfare purchased directly with the airlines or through the Amex Travel portal (on up to $500,000 of airfare purchases per calendar year). Plus, you'll earn 5 points per dollar on prepaid hotels booked with Amex Travel. All other purchases earn 1 point per dollar. Remember, Amex points transfer to Hilton Honors at a 1:2 ratio, to Marriott Bonvoy at a 1:1 ratio and to Choice Privileges at a 1:1 rate, and there are sometimes transfer bonuses.

Benefits: This card is absolutely packed with perks, but among the travel-related ones you'll want to maximize, including some hotel-specific benefits are:

• Up to a $200 annual hotel credit, in the form of a statement credit, on prepaid Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts or The Hotel Collection bookings with Amex Travel when you pay with your Amex Platinum (Hotel Collection stays require a two-night minimum).*

Benefits: Cardholders receive up to $300 in credits annually for bookings made through Capital One Travel. Plus 10,000 bonus miles every account anniversary, starting on your first anniversary (worth $100 toward travel). Through the Capital One Premier Collection, cardmembers can enjoy free breakfast, on-property credits and room upgrades (if available) on stays at participating properties booked through Capital One Travel. They also receive up to $100 in statement credits for either TSA PreCheck or Global Entry.

Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

Earning rates: This card accrues 5 points per dollar on travel booked through the Chase travel portal, on Lyft purchases (through March 2025) and on Peloton equipment and accessory purchases of $150 or more (through March 2025, with a limit of 25,000 bonus points). It also racks up 3 points per dollar on dining, select streaming services and online grocery store purchases (excludes Target, Walmart and wholesale clubs); 2 points per dollar on all travel not booked through the Chase travel portal; and 1 point per dollar on everything else.

Benefits: Cardholders receive a $50 statement credit on hotel stays purchased through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal upon opening the card and each following cardmember anniversary. They also receive a 10% bonus based on their total spending during the account anniversary year at a rate of 1 point for each $10 spent. This card also has some of the best travel protections in the industry, including trip cancellation insurance, trip delay insurance and primary rental car coverage among other policies.
