1960
Aluminium Extruders Holland NV established in Harderwijk.
1964
Acquisition by Reynolds Metals Company Inc. The company name was changed to: Reynolds Aluminium Holland BV.
1994
Reynolds Aluminium Holland starts the production of Micro Port Extrusions in Harderwijk. Operation under the name Reynolds Termal Components.
1999
Alcoa Inc. completed the worldwide acquisition of Reynolds Metals Co.
2007
Alcoa and Sapa created a joint venture. The Micro Port Extrusions business unit continued its operations under the new name: Sapa.
2012
After the joint venture of Sapa and Hydro, Sapa is forced by the EU commission to divest it's Harderwijk's MPE operations.
2014
Private equity company Standard Investment (SI) and HE Tubing Netherlands become the new owners of HE Tubing Netherlands B.V.
2014-2018
SI and HE Tubing's management invested over 6 million euro capex in its operations, including: a second extrusion line, installation of the latest generation Highspeed Vision & Eddy Current systems as well as dedicated wide/long MPE cut-to-length equipment. Resulting in a state of the art production process.
2019+
Operating from a well-invested production facility, having doubled it's production capacity and added product capabilities, HE Tubing Netherlands is well positioned to continue its position as a strong and reliable partner to its customers.

Micro Port Extrusion for R744 / CO2
Micro Port Extrusion
The Micro Port Extrusion (MPE) is an extruded rectangular flat tube with multiple small channels running the length of the tube. The size range HE Tubing Netherlands is capable to extrude (and calibrate) is broad:
- Width: 6 – 40 mm
- Height: 1- 5 mm
- Wall Thickness: 0,1 – 0,6 mm
MPE’s are exceptionally capable of handling high pressure refrigerants and are manufactured to meet the customer’s specific requirements with respect to alloy, geometry, wall and web thicknesses. The geometric characteristics of MPE’s are achieved by extrusion. The typical walls of MPE’s are thin, which makes the choice of alloy critical with regards to corrosion resistance.
Additional corrosion protection can be provided to the tube through the use of one of the coating solutions from HE Tubing.
Main application of the MPE’s is the paralell flow heat exchanger such as condensers and evaporators.
Micro Port Extrusion for R744 / CO2
The introduction of new refrigerants for mobile air conditioning, in particular the change to CO2 (R-744) with its highly challenging technical operating conditions, asks for new aluminium solutions.
The condenser which is used in current air conditioning systems based on R-134a will be replaced by a CO2 (R-744) gas cooler. Multi Port Extruded aluminium for CO2 heat exchanger applications are developed to resist the high pressure of the CO2 system.
Round Tubing
Aluminium heat exchanger round tubes at HE Tubing are directly extruded, coiled and delivered in “as extruded” temper.
Aluminium Round Tubing offers excellent corrosion resistance, high strength to weight ratio and adequate heat transfer properties. We offer internally enhanced (fins) and smooth walled round tubes to meet your unique requirements.
HE Tubing’s NEXCOR™ family of alloys provides documented material savings, especially when demanding forming processes are used.
- Superior mechanical properties in pre-brazed and post-brazed conditions
- Excellent corrosion behaviour compared to standard alloys
- Limited grain size growth after brazing due to finetuned alloy composition
